The special collections of the Arcane Megaplex are sorted lists of selected films related to specific topics. Such a topic might be shared source material, distinctive common themes, specific actors, directors, filming locations, or anything else that might inspire a collection’s maintainer to write about a special group of motion pictures.
In contrast to the main section of the site, where the selection depends mainly on the perceived quality and importance of the films, special collections focus more on completeness. First and foremost, the collection articles are to be an interesting read, as well as a comprehensive and sensibly structured list of films for people interested in a certain topic.
